meet Emma Stockings

Emma Stockings graduated as an Occupational Therapist from the University of Sydney in 2000. She is a very experienced occupational therapist with over 25 years of practice in a wide range of settings, locations and areas of interest – from hospitals, community to private practice; in rehabilitation, paediatrics, mental health, home modifications and equipment prescription. Emma's passion, however, is paediatric occupational therapy.
Emma is a local Canberran (well, she was born in Queanbeyan!) and has been living back in Canberra since 2003. This has enabled her to build a wide range of professional networks and relationships as well as sound knowledge of local services and how to access them.

Emma is registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist through Allied Health Practitioners Registration Authority (AHPRA) and a member of her professional association Occupational Therapy Australia.

Beyond her professional qualifications and aspirations for Three Bears Therapy, Emma is a busy mother of three – from 13 to 21 years old. All too familiar with the stresses of modern family life Emma makes full use of her own varied experience as a parent to add context to her work. When she is not busy wrangling her own three bears, Emma enjoys cooking, gardening and renovating projects!

Emma strongly values evidence-based practice and regularly attends professional development opportunities. Some recent professional development completed by Emma includes:
